My Goals
A professional goal that I have for myself is to take on whatever challenges my administration throws my way. I have been a part of the Building Assets, Reducing Risks program, worked with a co-teacher and learned about Supporting Inclusive Practices, and been lucky enough to get trained at the AVID summer institute.
I would love to teach AVID, government, or some other math classes but I will do whatever my administration directs for me to do.
Another goal I have is to clear my math credential to take off the foundational title by passing the final CSET exam for Calculus.

Staying Connected
I want to keep growing as an educator by attending professional development conferences and constantly evaluating my practices to look for better ways of teaching.
One way I can keep up the passion for education is by challenging myself and tackling new subject matter.

Advice for other new educators
You can do this! You have the training and the desire to be a good teacher so use that motivation and put it to work. Plan effectively because if you come to class unprepared, your students will be able to tell. Start off strong and get to know your students - their strengths, weaknesses, and interests.
